History:
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years, but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20, and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.
Summary of Responsibilities:
This role is to ensure proper deployment and updating of production server environment. Proactively monitor performance and availability of applications, operating system platforms, and infrastructure to troubleshoot root cause and provide issue resolution to minimize degradation and outages to hospital and clinics in the delivery of patient care. Ensure uptime, performance and security of hospital server environment. Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed. Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly. Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed. Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups. Monitor SAN and update as needed. Microsoft 365 Administrator experience required.
Requirements
Education:
Associates Degree required, but Bachelors Degree preferred in IT related degree.
Licenses/Certificates:
IT related certificate Vmware, Microsoft preferred.
Experience:
- 3 - 5 years experience with Vmware vCenter and ESXi.
- 3 - 5 years experience with Microsoft Server 2012 and up.
- Linux server experience with recommended but not required.
