Process Engineer – Life Sciences
Location: Cork or Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 Days per Week)
Contract: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)
Rate: Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE)
The Opportunity
Leap29 is recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy for experienced Process Engineers to support the delivery of major pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects across Ireland.
This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex Life Sciences facilities for global clients, working across the full project lifecycle from concept and detailed design through to construction support, commissioning and project handover.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver process engineering design packages for Life Sciences projects.
- Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), process calculations, equipment datasheets and technical documentation.
- Produce process specifications and engineering deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architectural and Automation disciplines.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with cGMP, client standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and project handover.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years' experience within the Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or Life Sciences sectors.
- Proven experience delivering process design within an EPCM or engineering consultancy environment.
- Experience working on large-scale capital projects (€100m+ preferred).
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical process design and cGMP requirements.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
