Client Service Representative
Compensation: $21–$27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
VERG Brooklyn is looking for a compassionate and dependable Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our Brooklyn team. As one of the first people our clients meet, you’ll help pet owners feel welcomed, informed, and cared for while their pets receive emergency or specialty treatment.
If you’re someone who can make people feel supported during stressful moments, your work can make a real difference at VERG Brooklyn.
This is more than a front desk position. You’ll be an important connection between our clients and medical teams, helping each hospital visit run as smoothly as possible.

What You’ll Do
As a Client Service Representative, you’ll help create a welcoming and supportive experience for every client and patient. You’ll check patients in and out, answer phones, schedule appointments, process payments, and help keep communication flowing between clients and the medical team.
You’ll also:
- Provide friendly and compassionate customer service.
- Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
- Discuss estimates, payment options, and hospital policies.
- Process invoices and payments and complete end-of-day reports.
- Communicate with clients by phone, email, text, or app.
- Help maintain a clean and organized front desk.
- Support administrative tasks, such as accounts receivable, patient reminders, or social media.
- Assist with other tasks that support the hospital and team.
What You Bring
You have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and customer service skills, and confidence handling challenging situations with empathy and professionalism. Basic computer skills are required, including experience with Word, Outlook, and office management software. Veterinary experience and familiarity with Instinct are a plus but not required, we’re happy to train the right person. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our team.
Due to the nature of supporting a hospital that is open to care for pets 24/7, working with us often requires the schedule flexibility for all shifts, including overnights, evening hours, weekends and holidays. If selected for an interview, the scheduling options and process will be discussed with you at that time.
