Prysmian's Claremont Fiber Manufacturing Facility is looking for a highly motivated Process Control Engineer to join our engineering team and play a critical role in advancing the technology, quality, and performance of one of the world's most sophisticated optical fiber manufacturing operations. This is more than a traditional engineering role. You'll combine process engineering, automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and develop the next generation of automated manufacturing solutions. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies while collaborating with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and global technical teams to make a direct impact on plant performance.

What You'll Do
Lead and optimize assigned manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, productivity, and process stability.
Monitor process performance, analyze data trends, and drive root cause investigations for quality and equipment issues.
Design, maintain, and improve PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other control systems supporting fiber manufacturing operations.
Implement automation and process control improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and product quality.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for process, automation, instrumentation, and equipment-related challenges.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve plant performance.
Lead continuous improvement, cost reduction, and capital project initiatives from concept through implementation.
Support new product introductions, process qualifications, and equipment upgrades.
Develop and maintain process documentation, KPIs, reporting tools, and control system standards.
Collaborate with global Prysmian engineering teams to share best practices and implement innovative manufacturing solutions.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide occasional off-hours support as needed.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience working with large data sets and making data-driven decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with optical fiber manufacturing (VAD, OVD, AVD, PCVD, preform manufacturing, fiber draw, coating, or related processes) is highly preferred.
5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing, process control, industrial automation, or process engineering environments.
Experience with PLC programming platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent.
Experience working with HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies such as SPC, Minitab, Six Sigma, or similar tools.
Familiarity with motion control systems, machine vision, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Experience managing capital projects and leading cross-functional teams.
Industry Experience Advantage
Candidates with experience in optical fiber manufacturing processes including VAD, OVD, AVD, PCVD, preform production, fiber draw operations, coating processes, or related glass manufacturing technologies will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in this role.
