Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving problems, and keeping facilities running smoothly? We're looking for a Maintenance Worker General to join our team. In this role, you'll help maintain and improve our buildings, equipment, and grounds while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to use a variety of skills in construction, repair, and facility maintenance.
What You'll Do
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent or designated supervisor, you will provide support in the construction, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities and equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with general maintenance, construction, and repair projects.
- Perform semi-skilled work across multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, painting, masonry, plumbing, and related maintenance functions.
- Clean drains and perform basic plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
- Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings.
- Assist with generator setup and related maintenance tasks.
- Install and repair fixtures such as:
- Window shades and blinds
- Curtain rods
- Wall fans
- Door locks and hardware
- Operate equipment, including trucks and backhoes, as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work area.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in maintenance and construction trades.
- Skills in the construction, repair, restoration, and installation of wood and related materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
- Ability to estimate time, materials, and resources needed to complete maintenance projects.
- Experience performing maintenance work in multiple trades is preferred.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance vehicles and equipment.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
