Financial Accountant

Job Description

Overview:

Reporting to the Manager for Control + Compliance, the candidate will be responsible for Statutory Accounts and Technical accounting

Job Responsibilities:

The role holder will be expected to be responsible for the following:

• Statutory accounts preparation. This includes 14 statutory entities and 6 dormant entities in the UK and Ireland.
• Group accounts and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries
• Posting and maintenance of leases in compliance with US GAAP standards.
• Maintaining a strict controls process to ensure compliance with internal policies
• Posting of tax entries
• Assessment of technical accounting measures as they arise and implementation of any new accounting standards
• Support Finance team with closing out of any Internal Audit matters
• Provide support to foreign subsidiaries with any technical accounting issues
• Company secretarial duties
• Ad hoc projects /tasks as required

Job Skills & Experience Required:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:

Qualifications:

• Newly qualified in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA

Skill & Experience:

• Have good technical knowledge of US GAAP and FRS102 standards
• Knowledge of Caseware software
• Be able to work with a complex accounting package
• Be proficient in excel at an advanced level
