Senior Manager – Application Integration & DevSecOps

As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we’re in search of a Senior Manager – Application Integration & DevSecOps. In this role you will ensure Shamal's enterprise-grade web, mobile and backend applications are secure, scalable and reliable across the technology landscape. As the technical leader for application architecture, full-stack development, systems integration, DevSecOps and application security, this role safeguards Shamal's digital ecosystem — keeping it resilient, compliant and aligned to enterprise architecture and regulatory standards across all business units.

Responsibilities

A. Enterprise Architecture, Engineering & Platform Delivery

Lead enterprise architecture, application engineering, mobile, backend, data platforms and technology modernisation, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and aligned to business objectives.

KPIs

• ≥95% of application and platform releases delivered on schedule.
• ≥99.5% availability across business-critical applications, APIs and platforms.
• ≥80% of new solutions delivered using approved cloud-native and enterprise architecture standards.

 B. Integration, API & Cloud Platform Engineering

Own API strategy, enterprise integration services and cloud platform engineering, enabling secure, reliable and automated technology operations across Shamal.

KPIs

• ≥99.5% availability of integration and cloud platforms.
• ≥90% of deployments automated through CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

C. Application Security & DevSecOps

Embed security by design across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring secure development practices, vulnerability management and compliance with security standards.

KPIs

• 100% of applications and new solution designs undergo security assessment and review.
• 100% of critical vulnerabilities remediated within agreed SLA and zero critical security incidents attributable to application design or coding weaknesses.

D. Governance, Risk & Compliance

Maintain effective governance, architecture controls, risk management and regulatory compliance across the application landscape.

KPIs

• 100% of audit findings, compliance actions and major technology changes closed or approved within agreed governance SLAs.

E. Leadership, Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Provide technology leadership, manage strategic vendors and ensure business-aligned technology outcomes across Shamal.

KPIs

• ≥90% stakeholder satisfaction across delivered solutions, platforms and services.
• ≥90% vendor and managed service SLA compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:   

 

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline is preferred but not required.

 

Required / Preferred Certifications

• CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
• CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate.
• TOGAF Certified DevSecOps Professional, API Security certification (preferred).

Experience

• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application development, architecture and application security, with a minimum of 5 years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing internal developers, vendors and system integrators.
• Experience managing enterprise application portfolios and delivering web, mobile, API and integration solutions at enterprise scale.
• Experience implementing enterprise application security programmes and supporting large-scale digital transformation.

Skillset

• Hands-on expertise across frontend, backend, mobile development and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong command of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), application security and DevSecOps practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, vendor and contract management skills.
