As a Business Expert for Cross-Border Payments, you will contribute to our vision of further digitalizing and optimizing payment processing while improving existing workflows for our internal customers through innovative technologies.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to actively drive change and develop effective solutions within the cross-border payments domain. You will analyze and design message flows and system integrations, with a particular focus on ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between internal applications and SWIFT services.

You will translate business and technical requirements into implementable solutions, including interface specifications, message mappings, and integration concepts. You will also help ensure that SWIFT messages are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and operational standards.

Working closely with business units, IT teams, and external vendors, you will contribute to the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of SWIFT-based payment processing.

You will work with modern IT infrastructure and tools in an agile product development environment. In addition, you will coordinate communication with key stakeholders and provide 3rd-level support for areas including Private Customers, Corporate Clients, Financial Institutions, and back-office units.

What will you be doing? 👇

• Analyzing issues and requirements arising from the interaction between internal back-office systems and the SWIFT infrastructure.
• Analyzing business and technical requirements (as-is / to-be) and defining appropriate functional and technical solutions, including message flows, interface specifications, and integration concepts for SWIFT Connectivity.
• Defining functional test scenarios and quality assurance measures, as well as supporting testing activities in test environments.
• Analyzing problems and designing effective solutions in close collaboration with other teams.
• Acting as one of the experts within your Scrum team for functional and business analysis related to the application supporting payment investigations.

What is important to us? 👌

• Good understanding of payment process chains and the message formats used, particularly MT and MX.
• Good knowledge of the SWIFT network and services, such as FIN, FileAct, and InterAct.
• Familiarity with message flows, routing, and payment lifecycle processing.
• Ability to analyze and understand complex system landscapes and interfaces between internal systems and the SWIFT infrastructure.
• Experience with message transformation, data mapping, and integration concepts.
• Understanding of APIs, middleware, and messaging technologies.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Experience in designing functional solutions and IT concepts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear specifications and test scenarios.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Proficiency in English and German.
