Job Description:

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Recruiter to manage urgent staffing requests and coordinate nurse availability outside regular business hours.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring healthcare shifts are filled efficiently by communicating with nurses and healthcare professionals, managing shift bookings, and coordinating staffing adjustments in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and manage urgent staffing requests from healthcare facilities during after-hours operations.
• Contact nurses and healthcare professionals through outbound calls, SMS, and email regarding available shifts.
• Confirm candidate availability, eligibility, and compliance with client staffing requirements.
• Process and confirm authorized shift bookings accurately using designated staffing systems.
• Manage shift cancellations, schedule changes, and urgent staffing adjustments.
• Provide timely updates to healthcare workers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of staffing requests, candidate outreach, confirmed bookings, and follow-up activities.
• Escalate unresolved staffing concerns and ensure proper handover to the daytime operations team.
• Prioritize urgent staffing requirements while maintaining service quality and established turnaround times.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in recruitment, staffing coordination, workforce scheduling, customer service (Healthcare BPO), or a related operations role.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Comfortable handling inbound and outbound calls, email correspondence, and SMS communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize urgent staffing requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in handling time-sensitive situations.
• Familiarity with staffing systems, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM platforms, or scheduling tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on an agreed roster.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare staffing, nurse recruitment, or workforce scheduling.
• Previous experience supporting Australian recruitment or staffing operations.
• Familiarity with healthcare shift bookings, staffing requirements, and candidate compliance checks.
• Experience handling last-minute staffing requests, cancellations, and schedule changes.
• Background in staffing agencies, RPO, BPO, or shared services environments.
