JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
The Vice President, Sales will be responsible for driving CREO’s growth and expanding the firm’s presence across the West Coast region of the United States. This individual will sell the full suite of CREO services and capabilities to organizations within CREO’s priority sectors, including CROs, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical services organizations, CDMOs, and private equity firms.
The Vice President will develop and execute a comprehensive regional growth strategy focused on opening doors to new clients and executive relationships, building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, and expanding CREO’s footprint within existing accounts. As the Vice President will work closely with CREO’s industry, practice, and firm leaders to connect client needs with capabilities from across the organization. The individual will lead complex sales opportunities from initial engagement through proposal development, negotiation, and close, while strengthening CREO’s position as a trusted strategic partner.

The Vice President will also help build a stronger business-development culture across the firm by coaching and collaborating with consultants, enabling them to identify client needs, develop relationships, communicate CREO’s value proposition, and contribute more effectively to account growth and cross-selling efforts.

  • Sell CREO’s full suite of consulting and implementation services across its practice and service areas.
  • Develop new business within CREO’s priority sectors, including CROs, biotechnology, pharmaceutical services, CDMOs, and private equity firms and their portfolio companies.

  • Build, maintain, and advance a robust pipeline of qualified, substantiated opportunities sufficient to support annual sales and bookings targets.
  • Expand CREO’s footprint within existing clients by identifying emerging needs, developing strategic account-growth plans, and creating cross-practice and cross-service opportunities.
  • Own the opportunity-to-award process, including prospecting, lead generation, opportunity qualification, pipeline and CRM management, contract negotiation, and closing new business.
  • Collaborate with practice, industry, and firm leaders to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings, revenue-growth, gross margin, and cross-sell objectives.
  • Develop a sophisticated understanding of prospective and existing clients’ businesses, strategic priorities, challenges, and value drivers, and clearly articulate how CREO can serve as a value-added partner.
  • Lead key C-suite meetings, executive communications, presentations, and negotiations, bringing in the appropriate CREO subject-matter experts and leaders when needed.
  • Prepare CREO’s executive leadership team and subject-matter experts for prospect and client meetings by providing relevant account intelligence, stakeholder context, and opportunity strategy.
  • Partner with marketing to develop and execute targeted lead-generation, thought-leadership, and market-development campaigns.
  • Represent CREO at industry conferences, professional associations, networking events, and other relevant forums within the assigned market.
  • Serve as a visible CREO leader in the regional life sciences and healthcare community, strengthening awareness of the firm and its capabilities.
  • Provide strategic sales support to consultants and practice leaders pursuing new or expanded client opportunities.
  • Coach and upskill consultants in relationship development, opportunity identification, consultative selling, account planning, cross-selling, and communicating CREO’s value proposition.
  • Help create a firmwide culture in which consultants recognize business-development opportunities and confidently engage clients in conversations about broader organizational needs.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and client-relationship information within CREO’s CRM and commercial reporting systems.
  • Maintain the commercial metrics dashboard and provide regular pipeline, market, account, and revenue updates to CREO’s management and executive leadership teams.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, industry trends, investment patterns, and client priorities to identify new growth opportunities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
