Overview
Our client, a leading group in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) / beverage industry, is looking for a BPM Developer / Workflow Engineer based in Hong Kong. The role is responsible for designing, building and supporting BPM workflow solutions, working closely with the China development team and local vendors to drive process digitalization and efficiency improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and enhance BPM workflow solutions to support business processes across multiple functions (e.g. operations, finance, supply chain, sales).
- Work with business users to understand requirements, map current processes and translate them into optimized workflow designs and technical specifications.
- Configure and maintain BPM processes, forms and rules, including new workflow development, form layout design and logic configuration.
- Deploy BPM and related components in production environments, including version release, basic environment setup and configuration.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs and troubleshoot workflow, integration and application issues, providing timely fixes and long-term improvements.
- Collaborate closely with the China development team on solution design, code alignment, technical problem solving and release coordination.
- Coordinate with local vendors on infrastructure, environment setup, Nginx, database configuration and other technical integration activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including workflow design, configuration records, deployment guides and operation manuals.
- Support testing (SIT/UAT), defect follow-up and post-go-live support for BPM and workflow-related projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline.
- Solid experience in BPM / workflow platform development, including workflow design, configuration and implementation (experience in any mainstream BPM product is an advantage).
- Hands-on experience in Java, JSP and H5/HTML5, with the ability to read and modify both front-end and back-end business code.
- Familiarity with Linux basic commands, basic server operations, Nginx configuration and fundamental database maintenance.
- Experience working with remote development teams (especially Mainland China) and coordinating with external vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to process design and issue resolution.
- Good communication skills in Mandarin and Cantonese; able to communicate in written English for documentation and technical discussion.
- Proactive, responsible and able to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
