Role overview:
Remote on UK hours, (within reach of Jersey); Full time ; £80,000 to £95,000 base, about £125,000 to £140,000 at target and uncapped, plus equity
Who this is for
Somewhere right now, a very good seller is hitting a number inside a process they can see is broken two steps upstream. Fixing it is somebody else's job. If that is you, and it bothers you, read on. If you would rather stay in your lane, this is a good place to stop.
Where this is going
We are a founder-led group of B2B software companies serving the private wealth and governance world: WealthComply (FATCA and CRS compliance automation), MinuteMaster (board minutes and governance automation) and a third venture that is in stealth. We sell to trust companies, fund administrators and private wealth firms across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Caribbean.
Today the founder carries every deal from demonstration to signature himself, and a small business development team books the first meetings. Within a year we want revenue arriving every month without him. This role builds that, one stage at a time.
The role
You run revenue the way a founder would. You find the one place where it is stuck, do that work yourself until it flows, write down how, hand it to someone you hire or train, and move to the next. Today that place is the stretch between a good demonstration and a signed customer, so you start by selling: demonstrations with a product specialist beside you, proofs of concept, proposals, and days in person in Jersey, Guernsey, London and Switzerland. Expect about seventy per cent of your week on whichever stage is stuck. You report to the founder. Others have tried versions of this role on commission alone, and it did not work. This time it is a salaried leadership role, and we hire on evidence.
You will be judged on five things
- Revenue collected every month, on both products.
- A pipeline that anyone can read and trust.
- The founder out of the sale within six months.
- Stages that keep working after you move on.
- Customers who stay and grow, with nothing sold that the product cannot do.
This role will not suit you if
- You want a team to manage from the first day. The team here is built one working stage at a time.
- You enjoy diagnosing problems more than fixing them with your own hands.
- Your answer to slow sales is more outbound volume. Our market is a few hundred firms that know each other.
- You need a well-known brand behind you. Most of our buyers hear of us for the first time when you ring.
- You sell by promising. Our buyers work in compliance, and they check.
- You want a guaranteed bonus, or you find it hard to be corrected.
Who you are
- You have closed new business yourself in the last two years: software or services at £10,000 to £100,000 a year, sold to several people inside a regulated firm. You can name the customers.
- You have sold something before anyone had written down how.
- You have run a stage of a sales process yourself, written it down and handed it to someone else, and it kept working.
- You know how trust companies, corporate service providers and fund administrators buy, or you have sold to firms like them and will learn fast.
- AI is already how you work, well past drafting emails. You know where it goes wrong, and you check.
- Humble, hungry, happy. You would rather be corrected than be right, your forecast is honest, and people are glad when you join the call.
What we offer
- A base between £80,000 and £95,000, set by experience and location, and uncapped commission on the revenue you bring in and grow. At target that is about £125,000 to £140,000.
- Equity, so you share in the value created after you join. If we hit our plan it is worth many times your base. If we miss it, it is worth nothing.
- Revenue that is yours to build, one working stage at a time, and a written path to Group Chief Revenue Officer.
- Product specialists on your demonstrations, and founders who will hand over their deals.
- A CRM and tool stack being rebuilt so that you can question them, and act on them, in plain language.
- Remote on UK hours, a week in Jersey each month for the first quarter, travel paid, budgets for home office, learning and wellbeing, and a pace we can keep.
How we hire
Our recruiter runs the process. It includes a working session where you sell to us, a session on a real pipeline with an AI assistant beside you, a short paid task, conversations with the founders and the people you would lead, references (including a customer you sold to and, with your permission, one we choose), and a paid trial. We tell you where you stand after every step. The offer comes with a sixty-day review against outcomes we agree together. We say that now because we mean it both ways.
How to apply
Apply through the link. Along with your CV, we ask three short questions: the last three new customers you closed yourself, with deal size, how long each took and how it started (up to 300 words); one stage of a sales process you ran and then handed to someone else, and what happened to the numbers (up to 200 words); and your location, notice period, pay expectation and weakest "who you are" point. No cover letter. If you are not sure you tick every box, apply anyway.
