Description
An attractive opportunity has arisen for a Finance & Administration Assistant to join a business on a permanent basis. This varied role will support the day-to-day finance and administrative functions, ensuring accurate financial processing, effective record keeping and the smooth running of office operations.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and Business Support Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Processing supplier invoices, credit notes, expense claims and credit card transactions.
- Checking for duplicate invoices and assisting with supplier statement reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate financial records, filing systems and audit documentation.
- Supporting month-end preparation and basic financial checks.
- Matching delivery notes and waste transfer notes to invoices, liaising with the buying team regarding purchase order discrepancies.
- Responding to supplier and internal finance queries.
- Providing general administrative and reception support, including managing calls, emails, correspondence and office facilities.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role.
- A basic understanding of accounting and financial processes.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and financial accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- A willingness to learn and develop within a finance function.
Experience with accounting software and an AAT Level 2 qualification, or current studies towards AAT Level 2, would be advantageous.
Remuneration
Dependent on experience and number of hours worked.
