Location: Steinhausen, Switzerland
Travel: approx. 20-30% international
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head of Procurement Excellence is responsible for driving strategic development, standardization, and continuous improvement of procurement across the organization. This role focuses on purchasing strategy, governance, data-driven decision-making, and capability building.
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the introduction and continuous development of procurement systems (e.g. P2P suites, sourcing tools) and drive global roll-out and adoption across all Group countries and SBUs
Develop, refine and implement strategies and standards in Group’s procurement - always with a focus on efficiency, transparency, and sustainability
Drive the implementation of sustainable procurement strategies (e.g., based on ESG criteria and the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act) with conviction and expertise
Manage complex projects related to procurement strategies, governance, and tool landscapes, and serve as a key point of contact for our global procurement community
Dive innovation in procurement and actively assume governance responsibilities within the global network
Document processes, develop corporate standards, and oversee their implementation across our global subsidiaries
Purchasing Controlling & Data Analytics - Define and implement a comprehensive KPI framework for procurement and ensure consistent, high-quality data collection across all business units
Establish global reporting standards and dashboards (e.g., savings, performance, ESG metrics) and drive data transparency and analytics-based decision-making
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business, Engineering, Economics or equivalent qualification
Extensive relevant professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or procurement excellence
Proven track record in purchasing strategy, controlling, or transformation initiatives
Experience in managing cross-functional or global projects and strong project management and change-management capabilities
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Initial leadership experience preferred
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities w/ deep understanding of procurement processes, KPIs, and governance
Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba, Jaggaer)
Business fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
