Senior Process Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Process Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and lead redesign initiatives that encompass analyses and future state redesigns

• Manage assigned complex initiatives involving multiple business process segments to identify risks

• Complete and lead integrated process analyses, identifying procedural and control deficiencies, opportunities, and recommending solutions

• Consult with team to understand, influence, adapt research, and create alternatives for consideration, drive results, and bring issues to resolution

• Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives

• Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

• Interact with internal customers

• Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Process Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• In‑depth understanding of AI / GenAI solution design, with the ability to translate business and process problems into AI‑enabled use cases

• Fundamental understanding of AI, ML, and GenAI concepts, including model types, training vs. inference, prompt-based systems, and automation-driven decisioning

• Strong process-first mindset to identify where AI adds measurable value versus traditional automation or rule-based solutions

• Experience assessing data readiness, data quality, and data dependencies required to support AI/ML solutions within enterprise process environments

• Understanding of PowerApps, Power Automate, and other Low-Code / No-Code platforms, and how they integrate with AI components to enable end-to-end workflows

• Ability to design and support end-to-end (E2E) deployment of AI solutions in collaboration with business, technology, AI COE, and model governance stakeholders

• Experience embedding AI solutions into redesigned future-state processes while ensuring control integrity and regulatory alignment

• Ability to evaluate AI solution performance, adoption, and operational impact, and recommend iterative improvements based on outcomes

• Strong stakeholder management skills to communicate AI concepts, limitations, and value propositions to non-technical partners

• Familiarity with ethical AI principles, responsible AI practices, and regulatory expectations applicable to financial services environments.
