Job Description
As a Security Officer Building Facility Access Control in San Juan Capistrano, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. At a healthcare location, Allied Universal unarmed patrol officers conduct routine patrols, monitor access and alarm activity, help deter incidents through a visible presence, and provide welcoming customer service. - Provide customer service to clients at a healthcare laboratory location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of laboratory facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
