Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Center Relocation Project Manager to lead large-scale, mission-critical data center relocation and migration projects. This role will take full ownership of end-to-end project delivery, working closely with customers, internal technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth execution with minimal disruption to business operations.
Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center relocation and migration projects across multiple sites and mission-critical environments.

Take accountability for overall project governance, planning, execution, risk control, change management, and successful cutover.

Act as the key point of contact between customers, internal delivery teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop and drive relocation strategies, including infrastructure design coordination, application dependency mapping, wave planning, and move group scheduling.

Coordinate all relocation phases, including logistics, cabling, facilities, hardware movement, testing, and post-move activities.

Lead steering committee meetings and executive-level updates, while managing expectations across business, IT, and external stakeholders.

Ensure minimal disruption to business operations by proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies and implementing mitigation plans.

Oversee vendors and service providers to ensure delivery quality, timeline adherence, and operational readiness.
Requirements

10+ years of IT project management experience, with a proven track record delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

Strong experience managing data center relocation or migration projects from planning through execution and cutover.

Exposure to mission-critical environments such as banking, telecom, public sector, or large enterprise settings.

Solid understanding of hybrid infrastructure, including server, storage, network, virtualization, and cloud environments.

Strong project governance, risk management, issue management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders, steering committees, external vendors, and cross-functional technical teams.
