Location: Venice Beach, CA
Salary: $75,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Kassi, the exciting new rooftop restaurant at Hotel Erwin, is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team in Venice Beach. About the Role
As a Sous Chef at Kassi, you’ll be instrumental in leading our back-of-house operations. You’ll ensure smooth daily service, uphold the highest standards of quality and safety, and help craft a vibrant menu that transports guests to a sun-drenched Mediterranean escape.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure seamless, efficient service
- Uphold exceptional standards of food preparation, safety, and sanitation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including scheduling, inventory, and purchasing
- Collaborate on menu development and contribute new, creative dishes
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Partner with the front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding guest experience
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 2-3 years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong skills in menu planning, kitchen operations, and team leadership
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Food Handling Certificate and completion of in-house Sous Chef training (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with kitchen technology, POS systems, and inventory management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
