Job Description:
About the Team:
The Trust is the award-winning creative studio of The Wall Street Journal and Barron's Group, creating premium branded content and storytelling for some of the world's leading brands. We combine the journalistic excellence and authority of our publications with strategic creativity, data-driven insights and innovative content experiences to help clients connect with influential audiences.
We're looking for a strategic, analytical and creative Senior Social Strategy Associate to help shape how our content reaches and engages audiences across today's rapidly evolving social platforms.
About the Role
As a Senior Social Strategy Associate, you'll play a critical role in developing social-first strategies that maximize the impact of our branded content campaigns while upholding the premium standards of The Wall Street Journal and The Trust.
Working closely with strategists, editors, producers, designers and client-facing teams, you'll transform audience insights, platform trends and performance data into thoughtful social strategies that drive engagement, build audience loyalty and deliver measurable results.
This is an opportunity for someone who is equal parts strategist, analyst and storyteller—someone who understands that great social content begins with a deep understanding of audiences, platforms and creative execution.
You Will:
- Develop integrated social media strategies for branded content campaigns across major social platforms.
- Build channel plans, publishing strategies and campaign playbooks tailored to client objectives and audience behavior.
- Analyze campaign performance, identify trends and translate data into actionable recommendations for internal teams and clients.
- Partner with editors, producers, designers and creative teams to optimize messaging, formats and publishing cadence.
- Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging technologies and evolving best practices to ensure our strategies remain innovative and effective.
- Conduct audience research and competitive analysis to inform campaign planning.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Help establish best practices that elevate The Trust's social storytelling and audience engagement.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in social strategy, audience development, digital marketing or a related field within a publisher, media company, agency or brand.
- Deep expertise across major social platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and emerging channels.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting social analytics, audience insights and campaign performance data.
- The ability to translate data into compelling strategic recommendations and creative opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience working across multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for digital storytelling and audience engagement.
- A strong appreciation for premium journalism and brand standards.
