Briefing

You’ll join our Mid‑office team, where complex mortgage and credit decisions are turned into services and APIs that drive real‑world outcomes for our customers. 

Your role would be to understand how the pieces fit together: how services interact, how data flows through our platform, and how design choices affect reliability and customer experience. 
You’ll be designing and improving components in a cloud native core banking environment and help us keep systems understandable and maintainable over time. 

AI will be one of your tools: you’ll use it to explore options, generate code snippets or tests, and speed up routine work, but you’ll always stay in the driver’s seat, by deciding when AI’s suggestions need to be challenged or refined. 

This role is for someone who enjoys analyzing problems, forming a clear vision of the solution, and then using both their own skills and AI‑powered tools to bring that vision to life. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and product colleagues, discuss trade‑offs, and help us move from “incremental evolution” to genuine “revolution” in how we design and operate our Mid‑office services.

• You understand code and system architecture beyond syntax: you can reason about how components are structured, how they communicate, and how changesimpactthewhole system.
• You are open‑minded and curious, and youdon’thesitate to learn something new when it helps you build a better solution.
• You are comfortable using AI as a collaborative tool – crafting precise prompts, explaining clearly what you need, and evaluating AI‑generated output against your own standards.
• You enjoy discussing ideas, challenging assumptions (including those made by AI)
