Description
Location: Lower Mainland, BC (with out-of-town travel)
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time / Event-Based (Schedule-Driven)
- Safely operate company vehicles up to 5-ton capacity.
- Transport event equipment, staging, and materials to venues and warehouses.
- Complete local and out-of-town deliveries, including overnight assignments when required.
- Drive in winter and adverse weather conditions, including mountain and highway routes.
- Perform basic vehicle checks (pre-trip and post-trip inspections).
- Load and unload equipment as required, following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch, project managers, and crew leads regarding schedules and routes.
- Represent Scene Ideas professionally while on the road and at venues.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (BC).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to provide a 5-year driving record, including accident history.
- Proven experience driving vehicles up to 5-ton.
- Demonstrated experience with winter driving conditions.
- Canadian citizenship or valid Canadian work visa.
- Strong knowledge of road safety and defensive driving practices.
- Physically capable of loading/unloading event equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing schedules.
- Previous experience in event production, logistics, or live events.
- Experience driving out-of-province or long-distance routes.
- Familiarity with the Lower Mainland, Sea-to-Sky corridor, and BC highways.
- Forklift or warehouse experience.
- This is an event-based position.
- Shifts vary depending on event requirements.
- Availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Out-of-town travel may be required.
