Description
Cath Lab Tech
Job Summary:
- Assist physicians in the cardiac catheterization (Cath) lab as part of a collaborative team.
- Perform both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
- Be proficient in all aspects of Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
- Require little to no supervision once trained.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an academic program in health sciences or invasive cardiovascular technology.
- Exception: Employees credentialed as an RCIS by CCI since 2013 or earlier may not require formal education.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Life Support (ACLS) may also be accepted.
- Must hold one of the following credentials:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) / MRT
- Registered Radiologic Technologist in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology (ARRT-CV)
