Reporting to the Associate Vice-President (Development and Alumni) or his/her delegate, the appointee will lead critical initiatives to enhance the University’s alumni database, transform existing alumni data into actionable intelligence, and implement data-driven strategies. This role aims to significantly increase overall alumni involvement with and support of HKUST.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cultivate robust collaborative relationships with key university stakeholders across schools, departments, and offices to strategically enhance and optimize the alumni database.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the IT department to research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies for advanced alumni data management, engagement measurement, and the extraction of actionable intelligence.
- Lead IT projects focused on optimizing alumni data collection processes and achieving seamless system integration to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and strategic utilization.
- Contribute to and support high-level alumni engagement initiatives of the Development and Alumni Office.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, with strong data management, communication, and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing stakeholder data intelligence strategies is also required. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of leading projects independently and collaboratively. Applicants should also be proficient in both English and Chinese (including fluency in Putonghua). Experience in leading IT projects related to alumni data management and system integration is a significant advantage.
Duration: 2 years, subject to performance review and availability of funding.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
