The Vet Office is recruiting a Lead Veterinary Surgeon for a modern, well-established small animal practice in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon ready to step into a leadership role while continuing to develop clinically within a supportive and progressive environment.
You'll lead a dedicated veterinary team, drive high clinical standards, and play a key role in the continued success and growth of the practice.
The Role
As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will:
- Lead, mentor and inspire the veterinary team.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and supportive working culture.
- Deliver exceptional standards of patient and client care.
- Maintain clinical excellence and ensure best practice standards.
- Work closely with the Head Veterinary Nurse to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
- Support the operational and financial performance of the practice.
- Monitor KPIs and contribute to the growth of the clinic.
- Promote preventative healthcare and client education.
- Ensure compliance with Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) regulations.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- MVB, DVM or an equivalent Veterinary Degree.
- Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
- At least 3 years' experience in small animal practice.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
- A passion for mentoring and developing veterinary professionals.
- Previous leadership experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in practice performance.
