About the Role
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Business Development & Clinical Technical Specialist to support business growth across Africa by promoting and selling our products across assigned territories and customer channels.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing territory sales plans, driving business development and market penetration activities, and building strong relationships with clinics, physicians, distributors and end-customers.
You will combine a commercial mindset with clinical and technical expertise, providing product support and enhancing the customer experience in line with territory sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Cochlear products across multiple channels within assigned territories across Africa
- Execute territory sales plans to meet or exceed sales quotas and average selling price expectations
- Drive business development and market penetration activities within the assigned sales area
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinics, physicians, distributors and end-customers
- Provide clinical expertise, technical and product support to customers, aligned to territory sales strategies
- Enhance the customer experience by connecting customer needs with appropriate solutions
- Resolve complex customer or business challenges and contribute to improved processes and ways of working
- Apply broad professional knowledge to drive change and support a culture of continuous improvement
- Travel regularly across the assigned territories to support business and customer needs
What You Bring
Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in the MedTech industry, ideally within the Africa region
- Strong business development, sales or market penetration experience in a healthcare or medical technology environment
- Experience working with clinics, physicians, distributors and/or end-customers across multiple territories
- Experience providing clinical, technical or product support that enhances the customer experience
- Proven ability to achieve results through individual contribution and independent territory ownership
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced knowledge and well-developed skills within a relevant professional discipline
- Strong understanding of customer engagement, territory planning and sales execution
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome obstacles and support business success
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to connect customer needs with suitable solutions
- Effective and persuasive communication skills
- Ability to apply broad knowledge to drive change and continuous improvement

Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent qualification
- Fluent Arabic and English
- French language skills would be an advantage
