Junior Risk Analyst

Job Purpose

ICE operates leading global clearing houses that offer market participants risk mitigation, price transparency, capital security and operational efficiency across a range of liquid derivatives markets including energy, interest rates, agriculture, credit, bonds, currency and equities.

 

In Singapore, ICE Clear Singapore’s Risk Department is looking for a Risk Analyst to strengthen the team’s expanded scope. The successful candidate will support the team in carrying out day-to-day risk management duties for the Clearing House and play a part in shaping the risk management practice.  You will be joining a dynamic team, be exposed to a wide range of asset classes and be challenged with complex risk problems.

 

This is a multifaceted role where you will interact with teams from the Exchange, Clearing Operations, Treasury, Risk database developers, Regulators and Risk team peers across ICE group of Clearing Houses.

 

 Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day risk management duties, including intraday risk monitoring, margin call processes and the investigation of significant clearing member positions and margin exposure changes, working with Clearing Operations, Treasury and Risk team peers across the ICE group to ensure timely resolution
• Produce, review and distribute periodic risk reports, supporting margin updates and member accounts monitoring.
• Assist with the maintenance of the risk management framework by adhering to risk policies and staying up to date with regulatory and industry standards.
• Participate in model performance monitoring and contribute to the calibration of risk models for margins, Collateral haircuts, stress values and related analytics.
• Support the development of improved risk reporting using Tableau dashboards for data visualizations to improve the team’s ability to monitor exposures and to take timely decisions.
• Contribute to new product launches, clearing member reviews, regulatory enquiries and ad-hoc risk investigations as required.
• Build and maintain the risk management reports to the various risk committees in ICE Clear Singapore and the regulators overseeing ICE Clear Singapore

Knowledge and Experience

• Strong quantitative and analytical background with a solid knowledge of statistics and programming
• Prior relevant professional experience in risk management
• Operations oriented, preferably experienced in performing margin call operations, market risk monitoring
• Working knowledge of market price risk concepts and margin methodologies, implemented risk models for such as VaR, ES, Stress testing, Backtesting.
• Working level competency scripting in SQL, Excel VBA and using M365 is a must
• Experience with Claude Code for building Dashboards preferred.
• Experience with Tableau for data visualization tools preferred.
• Sound knowledge of financial derivatives products across multiple asset classes preferred.
• Ability to perform under time pressure, with strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability for work and demonstrates good attitude towards teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve the current state of things and is adaptable to embrace new changes.
