Staff Accountant

ReSupply is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team in Belgrade, Serbia. As a leading U.S. charity technology company, ReSupply is on a mission to reinvent the supply chain of charitable contributions and help turn household goods into emergency relief for those in need.

This newly created, stand-alone role is part of a global Finance team of three and reports directly to the U.S.-based CFO. You will take ownership of day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including transactions, accounts payable, vendor management, reconciliations, reporting, payroll, and month-end close support, while helping build and improve ReSupply’s in-house Finance function.

This is a hybrid, Belgrade-based role with flexible working hours and at least five hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time (ET). You will collaborate with colleagues across the U.S., Guatemala, and Serbia as part of a global organization of 100+ employees.

A successful Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

• Reviewing, categorizing, and recording daily financial transactions in QuickBooks
• Processing vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Creating and maintaining vendor profiles and supporting ongoing vendor management activities
• Performing cash reconciliations and assisting with month-end close procedures
• Preparing regular financial reports and supporting management with accurate financial information
• Processing payroll on a semi-monthly basis
• Responding to ad hoc accounting and operational requests from internal stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with Accounting teams in Belgrade and Guatemala, as well as vendors and internal business partners
• Maintaining high standards of data accuracy, organization, and financial recordkeeping
• Maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP

Position Requirements

• Experience working with U.S.-based companies
• Experience working with U.S. GAAP
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and self-organization
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to ad hoc requests

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Bill.com
• Previous experience in a Big Four accounting firm
