Senior Lean Consultant

 

 

We are seeking a dedicated professional to establish and lead our local (Veszprém) Lean Management footprint in the above position.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Lean Consultant who will drive our continuous improvement culture and support the implementation of the Lean strategy within our plant.

In this key role, you will work closely with Plant Management and cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, lead Lean initiatives, and ensure sustainable process optimization aligned with business targets and operational KPIs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the plant Lean roadmap development and monitor operational progress against strategic targets.
  • Provide Plant Management with data-driven business cases for Lean initiatives, evaluating financial ROI, capacity gains, lead time reductions, and resource needs to support decision-making.
  • Manage assigned Lean projects to ensure targets, timelines, and budgets are met, coordinating with cross-functional teams to secure required technical resources and subject matter expertise.
  • Build plant capability by organizing and conducting Lean training, facilitating shopfloor workshops (e.g., VSM, SMED, SFM, OEE), and coaching project teams in root-cause problem solving.
  • Monitor KPI achievement following Lean implementations and drive shopfloor leadership ownership to ensure the long-term sustainability of optimized practices.
  • Partner with global teams to pilot new Lean methods, share local best practices, and evaluate local innovations for network-wide standardization.
  • Serve as a sparring partner and advisor to the Plant Manager and Department Heads on improvement needs, providing constructive feedback when activities deviate from agreed strategic directions.
  • Promote Lean activities and manage visual management communications across the intranet and shopfloor.
  • Foster a Manufacturing Excellence culture by embedding continuous improvement routines, Lean behaviors, and problem-solving mindsets across the organization.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor, Master or Diploma degree in Electronics/Mechanical, Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of Lean experience and practice
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience in implementing Lean principles and methods (Kanban Systems, VSM/VSD, assembly line layouts, milk runs, heijunka)
  • Experience in project management, workshop facilitation, Lean training, and change management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and pragmatic approach
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in international teams
  • Willingness to travel
