Job Title: Program Manager – Center for Workforce Development
Department: Center for Workforce Development
The primary purpose of this position is the planning, implementation, and evaluation of workforce development programs. The main focus will be managing the college's Industrial Skills training programs. The Program Manager will develop and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including students, instructors, business partners, and community partners. Responsibilities will include student recruitment, case management, job development and placement, and representing the Center for Workforce Development (CWD) at promotional/community events.
In addition, the Program Manager will assist with grant management and reporting while ensuring grant benchmarks and program outcomes are met. This position and programming will take place at Bucks County Community College's new, state-of-the-art Center for Advanced Technologies at the Epstein Campus in Bristol, PA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the implementation of Industrial Maintenance and Metalwork training programs, including developing recruitment and outreach campaigns (including social media), coordinating program activities in close collaboration with instructors, and ensuring programs have the necessary materials and equipment.
Conduct student recruitment, outreach, and case management activities.
Develop employer partnerships and coordinate job development and placement activities.
Assist with grant management, including budget tracking, reporting, and monitoring program outcomes.
Promote Center for Workforce Development (CWD) programs at schools, community organizations, and public events.
Serve as a liaison with PA CareerLink® and other workforce and support service providers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in workforce development, recruitment, job placement, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and work with budgets.
Strong attention to detail with excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software and data management systems.
Comfortable with public speaking and an understanding of the relationship between workforce training programs and economic development, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel to training sites and event locations within and outside of Bucks County.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The Program Manager will respond to student issues on a regular basis and be expected to think entrepreneurially when addressing recruitment challenges. Many situations will be unforeseen and require prompt, effective resolution. The incumbent will investigate and resolve student- and classroom-related issues and escalate concerns to the Director, as appropriate.
This is a full-time, in-person position.
SALARY RANGE $55,660 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
