A highly regarded Australian construction business with an enviable reputation for delivering complex, high-quality developments is seeking an accomplished Finishes Foreman to join the delivery team on a major new luxury residential project in Brisbane. Located on a premium riverfront site in Newstead, the development comprises a 25-storey luxury residential tower with 227 apartments, together with a six-storey boutique riverfront building.

This is a key appointment for a Finishes Foreman who understands that premium residential delivery is about far more than completing the programme. Quality, detail, presentation and the coordination of complex finishes and services interfaces will be critical to the successful delivery of this development.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager / Senior Site Manager, you will:

• Lead the finishes and fit-out programme through to Practical Completion and handover
• Drive progressive apartment fit-out across multiple floors and work fronts
• Coordinate partitions, ceilings, joinery, stone, tiling, flooring, painting, glazing, fixtures and specialist finishes
• Manage subcontractor sequencing, productivity and workmanship
• Maintain the premium quality standards expected of a luxury residential development
• Coordinate architectural finishes with façade and building services
• Review drawings and resolve design, constructability and coordination issues
• Manage QA, ITPs, inspections, defects and rectification
• Drive progressive completion of apartments, common areas and resident amenities
• Protect completed works and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping
• Coordinate progressive inspections and defect close-out
• Support testing, commissioning, Practical Completion and final handover
• Take ownership of the finishes programme to achieve programme, quality and presentation objectives

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience as a Finishes Foreman / Finishes Supervisor
• Demonstrated high-rise residential apartment experience
• Premium or luxury residential project experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to take apartment towers through fit-out, defects, Practical Completion and handover
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes and apartment fit-out sequencing
• Experience coordinating multiple trades across numerous floors simultaneously
• Strong understanding of façade and building services interfaces
• Excellent QA and defects management capability
• Strong subcontractor leadership, planning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and detailed design documentation
• Relevant trade background and/or construction qualifications highly regarded

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate a genuine eye for quality and detail. Experience delivering high-end joinery, stone, tiling, glazing and specialist finishes will be highly regarded.

Remuneration

A$190K–A$225K + super, subject to experience and capability. Candidates with extensive premium high-rise residential experience will be considered toward the upper end of the range.
