Job Summary

Maintenance Utility, Lompoc, CA

If you are looking for a career opportunity in a very stable and profitable mining operation located in the beautiful Central Coast of California, this job is for you.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will serve as mechanical maintenance for the various production plants within the Lompoc Site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete preventive maintenance and emergency repairs including but not limited to: pump alignment, pump packing, belt alignment, gearbox repair and replacement, Blower Overhaul (rotor, heads & scrolls), basic rigging, install and align belt, chain, coupling drives, set up shaft and bearings, as well as, welding.
• Analyzes mechanical and/or operational problems with assigned surface facilitates. equipment and applies corrective action.
• Participates and assists in cleanup and utility job functions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and connect equipment according to blue print.
• Shift Work

Hourly Rate: Utility B - $39.49 and Utility A - $42.47

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 3 years of applicable experience, preferred in industrial plant processes to include servicing centrifugal pumps, pipe fitting and welding, or millwright.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze mechanical and/or operational problems and apply corrective action are essential.
• Excellent reading comprehension and math skills are required.
• Flexibility in a dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize and organize job activities.
• Ability to safely work at heights.
