Construction Project Manager - Data Center

Position Summary 

Evocative is seeking a Project Manager, Data Center Construction, to support our growing portfolio of facilities and data center construction projects. This role provides hands-on project management from design and preconstruction through execution, closeout, and turnover, serving as the day-to-day point of contact for design teams, general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities with ease, and keeps projects and communication moving smoothly across the team. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage assigned facilities and data center construction projects  

• Support projects from design coordination and preconstruction through execution, closeout, and turnover 

• Attend design reviews, preconstruction and contractor coordination meetings, owner meetings, and site visits 

• Track decisions, action items, risks, and dependencies to keep projects moving without delay 

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders 

• Support ROM budget development, estimate and cost reviews, change order evaluation, and forecasting 

• Monitor milestones, critical path activities, budget status, and risks to schedule or scope 

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting notes, punch lists, and closeout documentation 

• Provide project coverage and operational support when senior leadership is unavailable 

• Partner with the Project Coordinator to maintain accurate project files and reporting 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience 

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction, facilities, infrastructure, or mission-critical/data center environments 

• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders 

• Working knowledge of the construction lifecycle: design coordination, preconstruction, execution, budget tracking, closeout, and turnover 

• Experience with project budgets, ROM estimates, schedules, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and documentation 

• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and escalate risks appropriately 

Preferred Background 

• Experience supporting data center, critical infrastructure, telecom, electrical, or mechanical construction projects, ideally with values exceeding $20 million 

• Fluency in Procore, Microsoft Project, P6 Primavera, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Teams 

• PMP, CCM, LEED, or another construction-related certification preferred but not required 

Compensation 

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $140,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and demonstrated expertise in data-center or mission-critical construction. 

Location: Remote (Central or Eastern United States preferred) 
Travel: Up to 25%
