Description
As our new LegalTech Product Lead, you will sit at the intersection of AI strategy, product ownership, and technology governance — helping Bird & Bird stay ahead in a rapidly evolving legal technology landscape. You will translate strategic priorities into a connected, coherent product experience, bridging emerging AI developments and the technology team, shaping use cases, and driving the integration layer across applications. This is a role for someone with the conviction to champion innovation and make the case — with data — for the work that will have the greatest impact.
Join Bird & Bird in Frankfurt and strengthen our global Legal Tech team as a Legal Tech Product Lead (m/f/d).
What you’ll find with us- Own a prioritised backlog of enhancements across the firm's LegalTech estate — including Legora, HighQ, and custom-built solutions — and drive adoption strategy, translating business needs into sprint-ready work items.
- Contribute to the integration strategy across platforms such as Legora, Juristic, Betty Blocks, HighQ, and Microsoft 365, ensuring clean data flows, well-governed APIs, and no silos.
- Support the introduction and optimisation of AI tools — including LLMs, automation workflows, and agentic capabilities — ensuring they are embedded thoughtfully into legal workflows.
- Monitor emerging developments in legal technology and the broader AI market, translating insights into actionable recommendations that help the firm anticipate change.
- Define and track KPIs for product adoption and technology value delivery, using data and user feedback to inform prioritisation and demonstrate outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Work alongside Solutions Architects on vendor evaluation and SaaS optimisation, with due regard for security, data protection, and responsible AI standards.
- Significant experience in product management, product ownership, or business analysis within a digital or Agile environment, including exposure to SaaS or enterprise technology programmes.
- Solid understanding of APIs, middleware, and data pipelines — with sufficient technical fluency to partner confidently with engineers and architects.
- Proven ability to align competing priorities and translate complex technical topics into plain language for senior non-technical audiences.
- Experience designing adoption and change management programmes, with strong written and verbal communication skills — from clear requirements to confident presentations to partners and senior leadership.
- Exposure to AI-enabled tools and automation platforms. Familiarity with legal technology workflows is a plus — we will actively support the right person to build this knowledge.
