Description
Are you an experienced financial services professional looking to further a career in property credit risk management
Are you excited about the prospect of working with a collaborative team where diversity of background, experience and thinking is pursued
Are you energised by the prospect of supporting a business with a strong growth mandate, focused on delivering innovative and tailored corporate lending solutions into the active, Australian mid-market
See yourself in our team:
The Major Client Group and Commercial Banking Risk team provides specialist credit risk management support, advice and decisioning for the Major Client Group (MCG) and Commercial Banking (CB) teams within CBA Business Banking. Reporting to the Team Leader Property Risk NSW, you’ll be joining the Sydney based Property Risk team focused on commercial property investment and development clients with non-retail lending exposure greater than $15.0m, with some of our larger exposures >$300m.
We work closely with the business and the role involves direct connection with external customers to ensure the development of a thorough understanding of their businesses. This collaborative operating model must be balanced with the need to provide independent risk assessment. With the business heavily focused on growth, it can be a high pressure environment. You must be able to work efficiently, be willing to back your own judgement and when appropriate, effectively and constructively challenge the business.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Graduate or post graduate degrees in property, business, finance or related field.
Well demonstrated knowledge of the Australian property market.
Experience in a property credit risk management position, including exercising a material credit delegation ($30.0m or more), with a proven ability to provide sound, commercial and consistent risk decisions that are in the customers’ best interest.
An ability to work autonomously and with absolute integrity.
Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills; you must be able to influence at a range of levels within the organisation and across both Line 1 and Line 2. This includes representing material transactions at Credit & Pricing Review Panel.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a team that plays a critical role in CBA’s goal to become the number 1 Business Bank in Australia; if you’re ready for a challenge and confident that you can make a difference, please apply.
If you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application. We’re keen to support you with the next step in your career.
