Senior DesignerReq ID:
10159222Job Description:
About the Role & Team
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Designer to join our Creative organisation within Disney’s unified marketing function.
Supporting multiple lines of business, including Studios and Disney+, you will translate complex briefs into clear, engaging and beautifully crafted design solutions. Working across strategy, content and brand experiences, you will play an important role in raising creative quality, strengthening consistency and encouraging collaboration across the studio.
You will lead projects from initial concept through to polished delivery, partnering with a wide range of stakeholders and helping to bring Disney stories, brands and experiences to life across presentations, campaigns, digital content, print, events and experiential activations.
If selected for this role, you will report to the Creative Manager.
This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office four days a week, with either Monday or Friday working from home.
You’ll join a team grounded in our Disney values, acting with Integrity, welcoming everyone through Inclusion, embracing boundless Creativity, working together through Collaboration and caring deeply for our Community. These values shape how we work and how we support one another every day.
What You Will Do
Develop high-quality design solutions across presentation decks, partner pitches, sales tools, campaign summaries, brand guides and mainstage showcases, using existing assets or creating a new visual direction.
Research design trends, cultural insights and creative references, translating these into thoughtful mood boards, concepts and visual approaches.
Create multi-channel marketing collateral, including static and animated social assets, website and newsletter content, sizzle and motion graphics, and accurate print-ready artwork.
Develop marketing asset packs, toolkits and style guides for retail initiatives, content launches and promotional campaigns within established brand frameworks.
Produce mock-ups and visualisations for live events, experiential activations, retail takeovers and fan conventions, including preparing large-format files through sampling, production and installation.
Translate complex, technical or data-heavy information into intuitive designs that reduce visual clutter and communicate the key message clearly.
Use typography, layout, colour, visual hierarchy, animation, transitions and motion graphics thoughtfully to strengthen presentations and other creative materials.
Lead projects from concept through to completion, managing competing priorities, stakeholder feedback, deadlines and quality.
Interpret briefs, contribute to creative thinking, confidently explain your design rationale and present work to stakeholders.
Act as a guardian of The Walt Disney Company’s intellectual property, applying robust quality control and ensuring work follows established guidelines or remains true to the brand’s DNA.
Identify technical or conceptual challenges, recommend effective processes and guide projects towards practical, high-quality creative solutions.
Share knowledge, inspiration and learning with the wider team, providing constructive guidance and support to less experienced designers and helping to foster curiosity, experimentation and collaboration.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in Keynote, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides and Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
A strong portfolio demonstrating visually compelling work across presentations, campaigns, digital content, print and brand experiences.
Advanced knowledge of typography, layout, colour, composition, visual hierarchy and visual storytelling.
Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent commitment to high-quality creative output.
Confidence developing creative concepts and taking projects from initial thinking through to polished delivery.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and feedback from a range of stakeholders.
A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the confidence to communicate design rationale, present work and build trusted working relationships.
A multidisciplinary understanding of design tools, formats and production requirements, with the judgement to recommend effective creative and technical solutions.
Curiosity about design, entertainment, culture, technology and emerging creative trends, alongside a proactive approach to learning and knowledge sharing.
An inclusive leadership mindset, with the ability to support, encourage and provide constructive guidance to other designers.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using After Effects or producing motion graphics and animation.
