Overview
Senior Procurement Systems Advisor (CONT-2026-26209):
Bowhead seeks a Senior Procurement Systems Advisor an experienced government contracting professional to provide part-time, on-call support and professional guidance on purchasing and procurement processes. The individual will leverage extensive government contracting experience to provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and support for discrete projects and as-needed organizational requirements.
*In person training and periodic team meetings may require travel to a Bowhead office*
Responsibilities
The Senior Procurement Systems Advisor will have extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint, government contracting purchasing processes, and DCMA-approved purchasing system environments. Experience supporting Alaska Native-owned companies and working effectively within a high-demand, matrixed organization is required.
The Senior Procurement Systems Advisor will provide guidance on purchasing processes, including Master Purchasing processes within Costpoint, and will serve as a resource for procurement-related questions, process improvements, and specialized projects.
Qualifications
*In person training and periodic team meetings may require travel to a Bowhead office*
- 25+ years of government contracting experience.
- Extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint, particularly purchasing and procurement functions.
- Experience supporting Alaska Native-owned companies.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a high-demand, matrixed organization.
- Professional-level knowledge of Master Purchasing processes within Costpoint.
- Experience providing guidance within a DCMA-approved purchasing system environment.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide professional guidance and support with limited supervision.
Target salary is $110,000/annually to $140,000/annually commensurate with experience

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
