This position is expected to work 40 hours/week, running 5/17 through 8/13
The AI and Business Systems Intern will support the Business Systems team by building AI tools and documenting business processes. This role offers hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, process improvement, and the systems that support a manufacturing company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test 1-2 Microsoft Copilot agents that help employees work more efficiently
- Meet with employees across departments to understand their needs and gather requirements for agent development
- Map current business processes for open Business Systems projects, documenting each step, handoff, and system involved
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in existing processes
- Create clear process maps, flowcharts, and supporting documentation
- Assist with testing new systems and features to confirm they work as intended
- Explain technical concepts in plain language to non-technical team members
- Present project progress and final results to the Business Systems team and Leadership
- Coordinate other projects as assigned by the Business Systems Manager
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Interest in AI tools and how they can improve the way people work
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable learning new tools independently
