Reporting to the Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisor, the Retail Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and participating in the delivery of retail food services to customers and leading designated staff. As well, maintains supplies, and ensures safety, food quality and sanitation standards are met.This work is framed within VCH’s commitments to our pillars of Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Planetary Health.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience Grade 12, plus two (2) years’ recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Food Safe Certificate Level 1.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities• Ability to supervise.• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.• Ability to deal with others effectively.• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.• Ability to organize work.• Ability to operate related equipmentThe hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
