Description
Position: Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst - Junior
Number of hours: 40 hours / week
Schedule: EST
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining software license inventories and entitlement records.
Track software installations, usage, and license compliance.
Support software audits and compliance reporting activities.
Review software contracts, renewals, and licensing documentation.
Help identify opportunities for software license optimization and cost savings.
Maintain asset management records and software lifecycle documentation.
Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to support asset management activities.
Assist with software requests, deployments, and license assignments.
Prepare reports and dashboards on software asset utilization and compliance.
Participate in process improvements and documentation updates.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
0–2 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, IT Operations, Procurement, or a related role.
Basic understanding of software licensing concepts and IT asset management.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work accurately with records and documentation.
Preferred Certifications:
AWS Cloud Practitioner
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Scrum Foundations
ITIL Foundation v4 (preferred)
Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) (preferred)
