Maintenance Lead

At Duyvis in Zaandam, reliable equipment is essential to producing the snacks consumers know and love. As Maintenance Lead, you will lead maintenance operations, develop technical capability across the team, and drive continuous improvement to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.

 

For generations, Duyvis has been producing one of the Netherlands' most iconic snacks: the borrelnoot. Our Zaandam factory is home to around 150 colleagues who combine craftsmanship, teamwork, and a practical, hands-on mindset. As Maintenance Lead, you will lead all maintenance activities, planning processes, and technical development initiatives across the site. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, you will improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and strengthen maintenance excellence across the factory.

 

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and breakdown elimination activities.
• Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement through Lean, TPM, and IWS methodologies.
• Develop and coach maintenance technicians and planners.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety, food safety, and quality.
• Use performance data and KPIs to identify losses and implement improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and business goals.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and efficient asset management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance leadership role within manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Proven people leadership and coaching skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
