Description
Senior Video Producer (Campaign/ Broadcast)
Department: Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Valley Mills, Drighlington
Description
We bring together specialist knowledge, thoughtful technology and genuine care for our customers. By helping more items stay in circulation, we create value for people and make a positive impact at the same time.
Working closely with our Performance and MarCom teams, we create brand and performance creative designed to connect with customers, build recognition and deliver measurable results.
As our business grows across markets and channels, we’re continuing to build more of our creative capability in-house. That means developing stronger expertise across video, motion, broadcast and performance creative, while finding smarter and more efficient ways to take ideas from concept to delivery.
This is a senior, hands-on production role. You’ll move comfortably between creative development, planning, shooting, directing and post-production, taking projects from the initial brief through to final delivery.
You’ll combine a strong creative eye with the technical expertise needed to produce polished, broadcast-ready work. You’ll know how to translate an idea into something that can actually be made, balancing creative ambition with budgets, timelines, production requirements and channel specifications.
You’ll also play an important role in strengthening our in-house production capability. By building effective production processes, making thoughtful decisions about when to use external support and getting more value from every shoot, you’ll help us create high-quality work at pace without unnecessary complexity or cost.
- We have a strong and scalable in-house video production capability, with clear processes that help the Creative team move quickly and confidently.
- Video and audio projects are owned end-to-end, with briefs translated into well-planned productions that are delivered on time and within agreed budgets.
- Campaign creative feels polished, distinctive and recognisably Vintage, with strong storytelling, cinematography and attention to detail.
- Final assets are technically accurate and ready for their intended channels, including UK broadcast, BVOD, radio and digital platforms.
- Production opportunities are used thoughtfully, with additional content captured and repurposed across paid social, organic, CRM, web and other channels wherever it makes sense.
- Production budgets, schedules, suppliers, equipment, talent, locations and usage rights are managed carefully and transparently.
- Creative learnings and performance insight feed into future work, helping us continually improve the effectiveness of what we produce.
- New production technology, tools and AI-enabled workflows are explored where they can genuinely improve creative quality, speed or efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Take creative briefs from Marketing and work closely with the wider Creative team to develop ideas into strong video and audio executions.
- Contribute to brainstorming and creative development alongside our Visual Designer, Copywriter, Content Creator and other Creative and Marketing colleagues.
- Turn concepts into practical production plans, including treatments, scripts, storyboards, shot lists and schedules.
- Scope the requirements of each production, including budget, equipment, crew, locations, talent, travel, rentals and external support.
- Advise Creative and Marketing colleagues on what is technically, practically and financially achievable while helping find the best way to deliver the creative idea.
- Plan productions with reuse in mind, identifying opportunities to capture additional content for other channels while talent, locations and equipment are available.
- Lead and execute shoots from setup through to wrap, working effectively with relatively lean production teams.
- Operate professional camera, lighting and audio equipment to capture high-quality footage and sound.
- Direct colleagues, talent and customers appearing in content, helping people feel comfortable while getting the performance or footage the creative requires.
- Make confident decisions on set, adapting when plans change while protecting the quality and purpose of the work.
- Maintain strong standards around composition, lighting, sound, continuity and visual storytelling throughout production.
- Own video and audio post-production from first assembly through to final master.
- Edit footage with a strong sense of pace, storytelling and commercial purpose.
- Colour grade and finish footage to maintain visual quality and consistency across our creative.
- Clean, mix and prepare audio appropriately for its intended channel.
- Select and manage licensed music and sound effects where required.
- Create different durations, aspect ratios, cutdowns and channel variants from master creative.
- Produce market and localisation variants for international campaigns while maintaining consistency across the original creative.
- Ensure work consistently reflects Vintage.com and Vintage Cash Cow brand guidelines.
- Maintain a high bar for detail, continuity and production quality across every stage of a project.
- Challenge ideas constructively when there is a stronger, more practical or more effective way to execute them.
- Prepare final assets to the technical specifications required for TV, BVOD, radio, digital and other relevant channels.
- Manage broadcast considerations including clearances, approvals, codecs, colour spaces, frame rates, audio and loudness requirements and final master delivery.
- Work with broadcasters, media agencies and delivery partners where needed to ensure assets are approved and delivered correctly.
- Make sure finished creative is polished, accurate and fit for purpose before it leaves the Creative team.
- Own production schedules and logistics, keeping projects organised from brief through to final delivery.
- Manage production budgets, quotes, equipment hire, outsourced resources and other production costs responsibly.
- Coordinate external production partners, freelancers, suppliers and agencies where specialist support is needed.
- Maintain organised records for release forms, usage rights, licences, approvals and other production documentation.
- Keep creative files, project documentation and versions structured and easy for the team to navigate.
- Follow and help improve agreed naming conventions, production processes and version-control standards.
- Use our project management tools consistently so Creative and Marketing colleagues have clear visibility of progress, actions and deadlines.
- Build strong working relationships across Creative, Performance, MarCom and the wider Marketing team.
- Help turn wider campaign ideas into cohesive executions that work across multiple channels.
- Work closely with our Content Creator to identify opportunities to extend campaign productions into additional social and digital content.
- When external creative agencies are leading larger productions, act as a strong internal production partner, coordinating Vintage stakeholders and contributing to creative development and delivery.
- Give practical, constructive input throughout the creative process and help colleagues understand the production implications of different ideas.
- Share your production knowledge with the wider Creative team and help raise the overall standard of moving-image thinking across the function.
- Help build production processes that make high-quality video and audio creation faster, simpler and more scalable.
- Look for sensible opportunities to bring production activity in-house where this improves speed, collaboration or cost effectiveness.
- Stay current with developments in filmmaking, broadcast production, post-production, platforms, software and production technology.
- Explore AI-enabled and emerging creative tools where they can support ideation, storyboarding, production planning or workflow efficiency.
- Use previous creative and performance learnings to inform future production decisions.
- Look for ways to get greater value from each production without compromising creative quality.
What You’ll Bring
- Around 7-10+ years of professional experience in video production, filmmaking, commercial content or a related production environment, ideally including work with DTC or consumer-facing brands.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating significant end-to-end ownership of commercial video projects.
- Extensive hands-on experience taking productions from creative brief and pre-production through shooting, post-production and final delivery.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and strong capability across professional editing and finishing workflows.
- Advanced working knowledge of After Effects and professional colour-grading tools such as DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.
- Strong audio post-production skills using tools such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic or equivalent.
- Experience delivering work for UK broadcast environments, including TV/BVOD and audio.
- Strong understanding of broadcast technical requirements, clearance and approval processes, codecs, colour spaces, frame rates, audio/loudness standards and final master delivery.
- Confidence operating professional camera, lighting and audio equipment and leading shoots.
- Strong production planning and project management skills, including experience managing budgets, schedules, external resources and suppliers.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, particularly around assets, approvals, feedback, versioning and final delivery.
- The confidence to advise creative and marketing colleagues on what is technically and financially achievable.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to challenge constructively when a different execution would produce a stronger result.
- Curiosity about new production technology and confidence using AI-enabled tools to support appropriate parts of the creative and production process.
- Experience helping establish or grow an in-house production capability.
- Experience producing international or multi-market campaign content and managing localisation requirements.
- Experience working across both brand-building and performance-led creative.
- Experience working with external creative agencies, broadcasters, media agencies and specialist production partners.
- Experience creating content for a mix of TV, BVOD, paid social, organic social, CRM, web and other digital channels.
In this role, living our values means:
- Take pride in creating work that represents Vintage well and earns the attention and trust of our customers.
- Stay curious about new creative approaches, technologies and production methods, while being thoughtful about where they genuinely add value.
- Work with care and integrity, particularly when managing budgets, talent, usage rights, approvals and broadcast requirements.
- Work openly with Creative, Marketing and external partners, recognising that the best work comes from strong collaboration.
- Take ownership from brief through to delivery, raising risks early, solving problems practically and following through on the detail.
- Look for smarter ways to produce and reuse creative so we get more value from the time, budget and resources we invest.
