Join HCF's Risk team on a 12 month max term contract and play a key role in helping leaders make informed, risk-aware decisions that support our members, people and business objectives.

As Risk Advisory and Oversight Manager, you'll be a trusted partner to Executives and senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing practical risk advice, guidance and challenge. Working closely with business leaders, you'll help embed HCF's Risk Management Framework, strengthen risk culture and support the continued uplift of risk maturity across the organisation.

This is a highly collaborative role where you'll build strong relationships across the business, facilitate meaningful risk conversations and help leaders understand and manage risk within their areas. You'll also support key risk management activities including risk profiling, risk registers, incident management, policy reviews and Board reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with Executives and senior leaders to provide trusted risk advice and guidance
• Supporting the ongoing embedment and continuous improvement of HCF's Risk Management Framework
• Facilitating risk workshops and promoting a positive risk culture across the business
• Managing divisional risk profiles and business unit risk registers
• Supporting incident management and remediation activities
• Contributing to risk analysis, reporting and insights for Executive and Board Committees
• Supporting the review and maintenance of key risk policies and documentation
• Working collaboratively across the organisation to improve risk management capability and outcomes

About you

You're an experienced risk professional who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing senior stakeholders and turning complex information into practical advice. You balance strong risk discipline with commercial thinking and know how to bring people on the journey.

You'll bring:

• Experience in a risk advisory, risk consulting or Line 2 risk role
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders and executives
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
• Strong critical thinking, analytical judgement and problem-solving capability
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and applying them in a practical business context
• A collaborative approach and proven ability to build trusted working relationships
• Strong ownership, accountability and delivery focus
• A continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail

Experience in an APRA-regulated environment will be highly regarded, along with exposure to health, insurance or financial services organisations.
