The Opportunity:

Provide civil engineering expertise in support of an operational level headquarters in the development of operational support force capabilities to enable agile operations employment for military clients. Provide coordination, monitoring, and guidance on engineering-specific theater requirements with other command theater units, adjunct services, and other agencies for the allocation, synchronization, and de-confliction of logistics resources. Support the development of Courses of Action, Concepts of Support, Plans of Action and Milestones, and integrated master schedules.

You Have:

• Experience in the Pacific Theater as an engineer at base level or MAJCOM

• Experience with implementing engineer components of budgeting, scheduling, coordination, tracking, and requirement specifications for construction efforts

• Experience with PACES cost estimating tools to produce government estimates, program projects, and compete for funding in Air Force corporate processes

• Knowledge of military design and construction processes

• Ability to provide direction, interpretation, and adaptation on applicable guidelines, such as AFIs or UFC for project implementation, and execute requirements using Sustainment Management systems (SMS) and AFIs, applying asset management principles, performing economic analysis, and coordinating with the installation facilities board

• Ability to complete programming actions, including 1391s, that comply with statutory and other delegated project approval authorities.

• Ability to coordinate engineering-specific theater requirements with command units, services, and other agencies to synchronize and de-conflict resources

• Ability to interface with host nation counterparts on construction requirements, environmental clearances, permitting, and approvals and brief senior military leaders

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field

Nice If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in a Staff level, division, Joint Headquarters Air Force, Major Command, Marines, or Air Component Headquarters

• Experience working with Japanese government 

• Experience with agile combat operations and concepts, including Agile Combat Employment (ACE) initiative, site survey, infrastructure improvement, and prepositioning concepts across the AOR

• Ability to demonstrate a score of 5 on the ACTFL in the Japanese language

• Professional Engineer Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
