Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an  Failure Analysis Engineer, located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Test  Engineer, the role involves responsibilities for activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in order to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in design of methos of failure analisys, testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing. 

• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, telemeter and record test data. 

• Directs and coordinate the strategies of debug the fail product of the test process. 

• Defines conditions and procedures under which The technicians are to be conducted and Indicators and phases of Debug Process. 

• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing  and troubleshooting problems such as failures of product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, Failure Analysis Reports, new solutions, obsolete components data interpretation or coding issues. 

• Evaluates and interprets Failures data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel. 

• Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software. 

• Trains and instructs floor support, debug technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, failures solutions as well as proper problem solving techniques. 

• Resolves test yield problems by performing examination of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. 

• Analize circuits and topologies to identify marginal issues or compatibility issues between components 

• Yield trend and pareto analisys to identify epidemic failures that required deeper analisys 

• Develop and monitoring the efficacy and efficiency metrics to improve diagnostic process 

• Provide technical documentation and tools for diagnostic purpose 

 The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Electronic, Mechatronics, or related Engineering degree.
•  Experience in Failure Analysis and/or Test Engineering (Level III).
• Experience in electronics manufacturing (PCBA).
•  Knowledge of oscilloscopes, schematics, and electronic troubleshooting.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Basic English.
• Ability to analyze electronic circuits and diagnose
