Role Overview:
As a Recruitment and Onboarding Officer, you will manage end-to-end recruitment, from talent attraction, sourcing and selection through to new starter onboarding. The role oversees pre-employment checks and documentation along with delivering a seamless day one experience to provide effective business familiarisation. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for supporting new starters and their managers through probation process’, ensuring compliance, engagement and successful integration into the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, from requisition creation to onboarding.
- Developing job descriptions and person specifications.
- Salary benchmarking and market analysis.
- Candidate sourcing through using multiple talent pools and avenues.
- Coordinating interviews and selection processes.
- Organising internal recruitment roadshows and open days.
- Managing apprenticeship, graduate, and expatriate recruitment programmes.
- Administering skills assessments and job suitability testing.
- Produce recruitment reports and provide workforce planning insights.
- Coordinate all pre-employment documentation, background checks, including contracts and new starter paperwork.
- Deliver an engaging day one onboarding and provide organisational orientation.
- Ensure completion of mandatory policies, compliance training, and induction activities.
- Create onboarding checkpoints and ensure business familiarisation planning.
- Compile end of probation processes and reports.

Essential
- Demonstratable experience of working within a Human Resources or Recruitment team.
- Highly organised, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills and passionate about improving processes.
- A high level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Proactive and pragmatic in approach.
- Strong administration skills; Advance Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both as a team and independently to achieve objectives.
Desirable
- Experience recruiting for apprentices and graduates.
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of working with recruitment tracking systems.
