The Transformation, Analytics and Insights (TAI) team reports directly to the EVP Technology and is distributed globally across US, UK, India and Malaysia. Our team Credo brings us together to ensure that we work as one team together regardless of location. This role will be part of the Business Transformation Enablement team. The team delivers pan-Technology transformation and divestment stranded cost priorities. We work closely with SVPs, VPs and cross-functional partners to turn strategic priorities into integrated plans, clear governance, accountable delivery and measurable outcomes. The team brings structure to transformation projects by coordinating execution across Technology, managing risks and dependencies, tracking progress, and helping ensure transformation, cost and stranded-cost commitments are delivered. We operate at pace, build trusted relationships across Technology, and support each other with honesty, care and a strong one-team mindset.

Technology is central to bp’s evolution as AI, geopolitical shifts and changing energy demand reshape how we work, deliver value and support the business.
This role works with Technology leadership and cross-functional partners to deliver priority transformation initiatives, strengthen execution across the portfolio, and help eliminate stranded costs from known divestments.
A Project Manager at bp delivers products, platforms and services using structured delivery methods, including Agile. The role connects strategy to execution by building practical plans, managing risks and dependencies, aligning stakeholders, and balancing competing priorities to achieve successful outcomes.
What you will deliver
Project and programme management: Develop and implement detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and delivery roadmaps. Use appropriate methodologies to deliver projects on time, within budget, and at the desired quality. Coordinate across teams to ensure project alignment with bp’s strategic objectives.
Delivery oversight in Agile environments: Work within Agile frameworks to align project milestones with iterative delivery cycles. Coordinate across multiple teams to track progress, resolve dependencies, and ensure continuous delivery of value. Support Agile practices at the organizational level by fostering collaboration and adaptability.
Risk and change management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to project success. Proactively address issues and adapt plans to manage changes effectively while ensuring project objectives remain achievable.
Stakeholder alignment and engagement: Build strong relationships with business, technical, and external partners to maintain alignment on goals, requirements, and delivery priorities. Act as a communication link between partners to ensure clarity and focus throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous improvement and process optimization: Lead efforts to refine project management practices, focusing on repeatable and measurable processes. Drive initiatives to improve delivery efficiency, reduce risks, and enhance project outcomes while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)
Great communication with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
Strong leadership and relationship skills, able to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
At this level, the Project Manager is delivering multiple concurrent initiatives. They apply strategic thinking to programme and project management, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. Stakeholder management involves influencing senior leadership and aligning cross-functional teams to shared objectives. They are strategically applying mixed methodologies (Agile, Waterall, etc.) to drive delivery and maintain team focus. They demonstrate leadership in systems development, ensuring robust, enduring solutions meet technical and business needs. They are beginning to mentor and develop junior members of the team, with an eye on growth and continuous improvement.
Preferred experience:
Significant experience in project management or related field, leading projects with increasing scope and complexity.
Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and navigating organizational complexity.
Proficiency in advanced Agile techniques, including scaling frameworks.
Expertise in systems development and change management.
