Own utilities infra structure for all snacks and Bev plants. Lead the planning and execution of the annual infrastructure plan for the beverage and snacks manufacturing utilities. Prepare annual operating plan for utilities budget including all capital investment needs for growth, additions, and replacement. Plans and governs utilities M&R budget and ensures that assets are properly maintained and operational according to design criteria / specifications while delivering world class Equipment efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Engineering utilities SME (Subject matter expert). Responsible for guiding, governing, and developing maintenance teams across plants.
- Develop capacity plan to support compony growth plans identifying needed utilities capacity replacement and upgrades
- Plan AOP/SBP for concerned area of expertise, ensuring that it includes all the replacements, overhauls, upgrades
- Monitor budget spending, to ensure compliance with set AOP
- Plan the overhauls covering all the concerned lines on annual basis, to ensure it is reflected in the spare parts plan as well as AOP/SBP
- Working with suppliers to develop quotations for utilities overhauls based on assessment needs which might include up to 250 items per equipment
- Coordinate with the spare parts team to ensure the inclusion of the required spare parts in the overhauls plan
- Work with the procurement on POS executions; to ensure a timely implementation for the overhauls
- Lead the Maintenance teams in the plants in the advanced troubleshooting
- Leads preventive Maintenance plan in alignment with the Maintenance managers / Operate and maintain teams where applicable
- Create reports for utilities budget, KPIs and action plans to achieve target TE and NE
- Coach/train the maintain teams, to improve team capabilities as an expert
- Arrange interventions from suppliers upon needs, decide on action plans, lead root cause analysis and participates in the initiation of the solution with the Maintenance team and OEM
- Communicate with related OEMs (Original Equipment manufacturer) with Maintenance requirements, new SKUs, upgrades, and retrofits
- Investigate new technologies related to utilities, new upgrades to deliver utilities productivity and support sustainability glide path (pep + )
- Review & validate the quotations from the OEMs, to ensure compliance & completion with the preset requests
- Search for new innovations in the market, and applicability for implementation in area of concern
- Lead small/medium projects in the related categories, as an arm for the engineering team with a direct impact on the field
- Act as technical track lead for utilities in all brown field projects with the projects teams.
- Lead supporting utilities commissioning in new projects.
- Work as a regular remote resource for the concerned categories to cover all the plants, to assess equipment or resolve breakdowns with Maintenance teams/Operate and maintain teams where applicable
- Works with the MOS (Manufacturing operation support) and the region engineering team to support and help the local needs
- Manage warranty period with the OEM, to ensure the benefit of the warranty in needed cases
- Manage new service contracts, monitor execution, and ensures KPIs delivery, and implementation
- Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the Health & Safety programs in the field.
- ensure equipment are meeting operations and safety standards, and sustain targets and decide on actions in case of deviation from targets
Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Very solid electrical & mechanical background in utilities
- Utilities infra structure design
- Excellent Trouble shooting skills and Analytical Skills
- TPM
- Project management
- Root cause Analysis
Education:
Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from Reputable University, TPM Knowledge, PMP is a plus, Lean six sigma certification is a plus
Prior Work Experience:
8-10 years’ experience in Engineering maintenance & services for FMCG preferably in food / pharmaceutical industries.
Language Proficiency:
fluency in both English and Arabic languages
