Description
The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Parking Enforcement Officer in the Berkeley Police Department! In this role, you will have the opportunity to help maintain a safe City by patrolling assigned areas to enforce parking regulations, ordinances and laws. You will also issue citations and maintain records.

Equivalent to graduation from high school and two (2) years of experience involving considerable public contact including dealing with hostile and irate individuals.
Other requirements include:
- Must be able to pass a psychiatric evaluation.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record, and be physically able to operate a motor scooter when required.
- Must be willing to work evenings, nights, weekend shifts, holidays, and as needed on an emergency basis.
- Must be willing to work out of doors in all weather conditions.
