As Application Manager you are accountable for the end‑to‑end lifecycle management of Engineering applications. Ensure they deliver sustainable business value, operational stability, security, and regulatory compliance. Acting as the primary owner for assigned applications, the role bridges business, IT, architecture, cybersecurity, and vendors to govern onboarding, solution evolution, operations, risk management, and controlled retirement. The Application Manager ensures applications are strategically aligned with enterprise architecture and digital transformation objectives, while meeting cost, performance, and compliance expectations.
How you’ll make an impact
- Govern applications across the full lifecycle: onboarding, operations and continuous improvement, to retirement
- Maintain application documentation and records in the CMDB / application registry
- Ensure effective service delivery, including incident, problem, change, and release management. Manage application availability, performance, and SLAs
- Ensure security and compliance requirements are met, including access management, audits, and vulnerability remediation
- Maintain application roadmaps aligned with business priorities, engineering strategy, and enterprise architecture
- Drive user adoption and support process harmonization, training, and business value realization
- Manage costs, budgets, licenses, and vendors, including contracts and third‑party performance
- Plan and execute controlled application retirement, including data archiving and risk mitigation
Your Background
- 5+ years in Application Management, IT Service Delivery, or similar roles. Experience managing applications across the complete lifecycle. ITIL 4 (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, SLA Management). Application Lifecycle & Service Management tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Functional knowledge or hands‑on experience in Engineering domain (engineering tools, product design, manufacturing, PLM systems)
- Experience working with global, cross‑functional teams
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, integrations, and data flows. Agile / DevOps development models
- Lean / Lean Six Sigma principlesBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
