- Maintain external engineering links and introduce relevant technologies for future business needs.
Essential Skills & Experience
- An education to at least first degree level in electronics or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years’ experience designing electronic systems, modules, or sub-assemblies.
- Experience delivering reliable, power-efficient circuits for demanding environments, ideally using Altium.
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital design, signal integrity, high-speed interfaces, EMC/EMI, and mitigation techniques.
- Experience with FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog and vendor tools such as Xilinx Vivado, or Microsemi Libero.
- Practical software development experience in C, C++, or Python for embedded, real-time, or hardware-integrated systems.
- Experience with software debugging, unit testing, version control, code review, and configuration management.
- Understanding of hardware interfaces and communications protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, CAN, or similar.
- Familiarity with tools such as Matlab/Simulink, PSpice, software development environments, FPGA design suites, and configuration control tools.
- Ability to verify hardware, firmware, embedded software, and system performance against requirements.
- Proven ability to manage technical compliance, technical risk, and customer requirements.
- Experience working with customers, suppliers, PCB partners, test houses, module suppliers, or subcontractors.
- Ability to support bids, proposals, production delivery, and cross-functional engineering activities.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, analytical, and practical engineering skills.
What We Offer
